The "Belvédère des Rouleaux" offers a panoramic view of the Kléber-Moreau quarry. The aim of the Man and Stone Association Network is to promote industrial activity in the extraction and processing of exploitable subsoil resources and thus to bring together young people from local industries (quarries/cement works) in search of manpower and to promote knowledge of the geological resources of the subsoil and the geological heritage. Three interpretation panels explain the quarry, the landscape and the applications of aggregates Founded in the 1930s by Marcel MOREAU, the quarry covers more than 120 hectares in the communes of Mazières-En-Gâtine and St Marc La Lande and employs about fifty people. Aggregate production is shipped by rail or road and supplies the markets of Western France.
